An easy to use battery-powered lawnmower for home gardens
The RMA 248 lawnmower from STIHL is a cordless lawnmower that utilises their AK System; it has a strong 46 cm cutter deck and is easy to manoeuvre and simple to use, making it the ideal choice for small to medium lawns (approximately the size of a tennis court). Battery and charger sold separately.
Quick and efficient cut and collection
Lightweight (21 kg) and easy to push around the garden, the RMA 248 will cut the lawn quickly and efficiently. Its height of cut is adjustable with a single lever between 7 stages 25-75 mm, and cuttings are collected in the sizeable 55 Litre plastic grass box that features a handy fill level indicator. A strong air flow generated by the fan blade in the housing ensures the grass is lifted before cutting for a more precise cut and also ensures efficient filling of the grass box.
Premium features included as standard
An optional ECO mode can be activated to prolong the life of the battery for extended working time. The powder-coated sheet steel housing is torsion-resistant and particularly robust ensuring a long service life. The wheels are extremely robust and durable and are equipped with a directional stability profile to help the lawnmower stay perfectly on track for smooth manoeuvring. When finished, the handlebar can be folded down and the grass box removed making it easier to store. The lawnmower is compatible with Smart Connector (sold separately) to allow for digital management of the machine.
Cordless technology has numerous advantages
Compared to lawnmowers powered by fuel or electricity, this battery-powered model is quieter and has no restrictions i.e. electrical cable, meaning you can mow any time, any where – even at 7am on a Sunday morning! There are no harmful emissions and they are a lot lighter in weight, providing a more pleasant user experience. The batteries in the AK System of this lawnmower are fully interchangeable with other garden machinery in the same series, allowing flexible working for a lesser cost as you only need to purchase the shell of a future machine.
A battery and charger are required
To operate the lawnmower, a compatible AK series battery and charger are required, but are not included. They are sold separately so you can choose the appropriate set-up, however STIHL recommend the most powerful AK 30 battery for ~250m2 coverage per full charge.
A 5 year domestic warranty with STIHL is included, we will register the machine. T&Cs apply.
