A high performance petrol lawnmower that is easy to handle
The RM 253 T have been revamped for 2022 to be better than ever! It is a petrol lawnmower with a 51 cm steel deck for medium-to-large lawns up to 1800 m2. Single speed drive (3.7 km/h) means no effort is required to push the lawnmower, only direct it, which is great for inclines and for those who fatigue easily or who struggle with a push machine.
Efficient cutting and collection
To suit the working conditions, the cutting height can be centrally adjusted via a single lever 25-75 mm through 7 preset positions; the highlift cutter blade makes the grass stand upright before cutting for a cleaner cut. An integrated air flow system ensures optimal filling of the 55 Litre grass box, that features a full level indicator ensuring efficient working.
Fitted with STIHL’s own petrol engine
The new model comes fitted with a STIHL EVC 205 petrol engine boasting ReadyStart technology for reliable starting with minimal user effort – even during cold starting.

The RM 253 T features smooth running wheels that help to hold the line whilst mowing for precise cutting, and are extremely robust and hardwearing. It also has a super-soft handle which is comfortable to hold and folds down for space-saving storage.

This is a fantastic mower.
My lawn is very uneven and is on a very steep incline, but the self-propelled action makes light work of it.
Also, it’s the easiest start I’ve ever had on a petrol mower.
Adjusting the cutting height is very easy and can be done with one hand. Plus the mower even looks great!
Finally, as far as gardenmachinerydirect goes, the online ordering was easy. Delivery was free and their price for the mower was significantly less than Stihl’s website and less than most other retailers I researched.
