Powerful & efficient
STIHL’s 2-MIX engine technology powers this machine, which reduces fuel consumption by up to 20 percent and emissions by up to 50 percent. It also uses advanced combustion technology to provide even lower fuel consumption along with high torque across a broad rpm range. On top of this, a compensator in the carburettor keeps the fuel/air ratio and engine power constant, even as the air filter becomes clogged, ensuring you have performance and power you can rely on.
Comfortable operation
The start, choke, throttle and stop controls are all operated using a single lever on this machine, so it is easy to operate. In addition, STIHL’s anti-vibration technology is present, which dampens the machine’s engine oscillations to dramatically reduce vibrations at the unit’s handles. You can adjust the chain tension with the easily accessible chain tensioner, located on the side of the machine so that you don’t have to touch the sharp saw chain, and tool-free filler caps enable to you top up the fuel and oil without difficulty.
A robust machine
A pre-separation air filtration system provides perceptibly longer filter life in this saw compared to conventional filter systems. Larger, heavier particles are ejected and the pre-cleaned air is routed to the air filter via the pre-separator duct. Ematic chain lubrication means pinpoint lubrication of the saw chain links and guide bar rails is available. When used with STIHL’s OILOMATIC saw chains, it provides maximum lubrication, longer wear and can reduce bar oil consumption by up to 50 percent.
