A new professional lightweight telescopic cordless long-reach pole saw
The HTA 86 is STIHL’s brand new telescopic long-reach pole saw from their AP battery system, most suited to the commercial user for conducting tree care and maintenance including dead wood removal and clearance cutting. A battery and charger are required to operate this pole saw and must be acquired separately.
An evolution of the HTA 85
Compared to its predecessor, the newly designed HTA 86 offers better balance for less user fatigue, a square telescopic shaft to prevent twisting and deflection for better control and operation, and an ergonomic control handle suitable for left and right handed users.
Cutting high up branches has never been easier
The HTA 86 has an adjustable shaft from 270 cm – 390 cm suitable for reaching branches up to 5 metres high. Its 30 cm bar and 1.4 PM3 chain is capable of cutting branches between 8 cm – 12 cm in diameter.

Being battery-run means quiet operation and zero emissions making it suitable for use at any time of the day without disturbing surrounding residents and with no ear protection required by the user. It’s rainproof too, which means it’s suitable for year-round use (although it’s not suitable for use in extreme conditions).
Other handy features include: an anti-slip handle and a robust branch hook lend to precision; a translucent oil tank with a tool-free cap makes for easy maintenance; a high quality brushless EC motor ensures fast acceleration and constant output for a superior performance, as well as being virtually maintenance free.
Utilising STIHL’s versatile AP battery system
A battery and charger are required to operate this pole saw, but are not included and must be purchased separately. There is the freedom to choose the battery and charger from STIHL’s AP System to suit your requirements and budget, however the recommendation is the AP 200 battery and the fastest AL 500 quick charger.
A 2 year warranty with STIHL is included, we will register the machine upon delivery. T&Cs may apply.
