STIHL’s TS 420 is a high performance disc cutter that comes with several features designed to make it more comfortable and more efficient to use. Supplied with a 14 inch / 350 mm abrasive cutting wheel.
Comfortable operation
The modern, ergonomic design of this disc cutter allows you to work with an optimal grip position. As it is a loop-handled machine, excellent cutting comfort is facilitated in any working position. Thanks to the anti-vibration technology present in STIHL’s machines to dampen engine oscillations and significantly reduce vibrations at the handles, you can work for longer without fatigue. The ElastoStart system reduces the shock caused by the compression of the engine when starting, to further improve your experience using the machine.
Durable, robust & powerful
Semi automatic drive belt tensioning increases the service life of the belts and shaft bearings, while a pre-separation air filtration system achieves perceptibly longer filter life when compared with conventional technology. This works by ejecting larger, heavier particles before they reach the air filter. The TS 420 also benefits from STIHL’s reduced-emission engine technology, as it uses their 2-MIX 2-stroke engine, with more power, lower weight, up to 20 percent less fuel consumption and significantly reduced exhaust emissions.
Simple & easy to use
A manual fuel pump is on hand to help make starting the machine as easy as possible. This allows you to deliver fuel to the carburettor at the touch of a button, reducing the number of starting strokes required following extended breaks in operation. Water is supplied to the cutting wheel through the standard water connection with a sprinkler system, which works to suppress the dust produced during cutting. It is positioned in such a way that it does not interfere with your work. You can choose to use the TS 420 handheld, or with the FW 20 cart.
