A durable and reliable 4-stroke package, this brushcutter and hedge trimmer multi-tool kit is driven by a unique six-splined drive shaft for added strength, increased torque and improved power delivery. Intended for tough and dirty environments, the UMK 425 LE uses a heavy-duty, shock-resistant transmission unit and is built to last, with Honda’s excellent warranty (5 years domestic, 1 year commercial) backing it up. The 425 features a commercial-quality 25cc GX25T 4-stroke OHC commercial quality engine.
An adaptable, versatile kit
Because this kit includes not only the main brushcutter unit, but also a robust, double-sided hedge trimmer attachment, you are able to tackle a range of garden chores. The brushcutter itself has the option of working with a Tap N Go nylon line head, which uses a semi-automatic system to supply the cutting line feed, renewing the line when you tap it on the ground with no need to stop the engine. It also includes a 3 tooth metal blade, perfect for more heavy duty work.
The hedge trimmer allows you to cut both ways courtesy of its double-sided nature. The blades are protected by an anti-snapping guard and, once fitted, can be rotated through -90˚ to +90˚ for easy access to hard-to-reach vegetation. This package is a great way to obtain a fantastic long-reach hedge trimmer.

The UMK 425 LE boasts easy starting with an extremely light flywheel, a quiet and smooth running 4-stroke engine that’s lightweight and compact, plus offers the lowest emissions on the market. This model also has an anti-vibration clutch, insulating your arms from the intensive vibrations that can cause strain and fatigue while working. A leg guard and quick release hook allows you to increase your working safety.
As a 4-stroke machine, no mixing of fuel and oil is required, unlike similar machines from other manufacturers. This allows for easier operation with less hassle.
Maintain Your Honda Products Properly
To keep your Honda petrol machinery running at its best, use standard pump fuels such as SP95, SP98, or SP95-E10.
While Honda doesn’t supply alkylate fuel, its use is permitted.
It’s important to always add a fuel stabiliser, especially if you’re storing fuel for more than a few weeks, as this helps prevent engine issues and keeps the fuel fresh.
Fuel should be stored in small amounts (no more than 5 litres) in a sealed container, away from heat and sunlight. Use within one month unless treated with a stabiliser.
At the end of the season—or if the machine won’t be used for a while—it’s recommended to drain the fuel tank and follow the storage advice in the user manual.

Bit heavy but does the job perfectly

early days but this is the first 4 stroke strimmer I have had. I trust the brand but was drawn by the 4 stroke design – so much easier. It starts well and cuts well at far lower revs than my old 2 stroke. It is much quieter too and no smoky exhaust.
