The ST1401E-ST is a battery-operated strimmer featuring the world’s first automatic line technology. It is supplied with a 2.5 Ah battery and a standard charger to get your up and running.
Efficient, easy, comfortable working
With EGO’s own PowerloadTM technology the line can be replaced at the push of the button, and fully feeding it takes under 10 seconds. The telescopic pole allows you to adjust the length between 165-183 cm with the loop handle also being adjustable, for a comfortable working position.
The advantages of battery power are plentiful
They give the freedom to operate anywhere as there are no restrictive power cables, and operate at any time of the day due to their low noise operation. There are also no harmful fumes emitted making for a better environment and user experience. The 2.5 Ah battery included in this kit provides up to 60 minutes working time per charge, with the standard charger fully charging it in just 50 minutes.

A very powerful yet light weight machine. Good for thick weeds and grass as it is the only cordless strimmer I have found that will take the 2.4mm line that I used to use in my old petrol brush cutter. Battery life is good especially if only used on low speed. The charge indicator lights are very usefull to tell you when the charge is running out.
